Marshall Clinical Research Center (MCRC) is committed to various clinical research studies, including investigational products (IP) and observational, retrospective, and prospective studies. We work closely with several different divisions and departments at Marshall University School of Medicine. These include neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, gastrointestinal, surgery, and endoscopic department. In the neurology department, we work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on studies such as migraine, multiple sclerosis, and back pain. Some of our vaccine trials have required our pediatrics and obstetrics departments to combine efforts. Our coordinators communicate effectively with each department to seamlessly run clinical trials. From study start-up to study close, our coordinators are well versed in the knowledge and requirements for PI-initiated studies and Sponsor initiated. They demonstrate expertise in Institution Review Board (IRB) submission requirements and offer an IRB clinic. Continue to visit our blog to see more about PI initiated and Sponsor initiated trials. We will also be including summaries of some of our clinical trials on our blog in the future.- Daniell Gallagher, Clinical Research Coordinator
